Spratts coaches was started in the early 1950's by the Late Mr Colin Spratt
He began the business with a taxi, delivering groceries from his parents village store and transporting school lunches to local schools, also taking local children to and from school, plus any taxi work that was required. It was soon apparent that taxis were not larger enough and with the demand increasing Colin brought his first coach. He had married his wife Gwen by then and from then on things just start to expand! It was not just local village groups or school outings he ran. In the early 1950's started tours to Switzerland and various other places through out Europe. (He was one of the first coach operators in Norfolk to take a coach abroad).
Over the next few decades the business expanded rapidly and at one stage operated 30 vehicles from the same original base at wreningham.
Colin and his wife had retired from the day to day running of the company when sadly Colin died in September 2002. Their children Christine Bilham and Richard Spratt now run the company.
Today we operate coaches ranging from a 25-seater minibus to 55 seater coaches.
Included in the vehicle list are coaches of the executive type, which are fitted with Toilets, drinks machines air conditioning and videos. Almost all the coaches have reclining seats and All are fitted with safety belts. Included in the fleet we have a coach, which can carry disabled passenger (The Company was the first privately owned company in Norfolk to adapt a coach to carry disabled passengers.) All coaches are fitted with Safety Belts for you safety and comfort.
